Fit and care: Choose a ring or post size that matches experience level. Start loose, tighten gradually, and check jaw alignment and breathing. Clean steel with mild soap and water, dry fully, and inspect hardware. Wipe leather with a damp cloth and condition as needed.
Safety: Agree on signals, monitor breathing and jaw fatigue, avoid use with acute dental or TMJ issues, and never leave anyone restrained unattended. Stop immediately if pain, numbness, or distress occurs.
