Remember when choosing a whip. Two things make a whip safe, or hazardous.
1 Ease of control: Long, thin whips are hard to control. Short, thick whips control better.
2 The cracker on the end of the whip: A small, hard cracker will cut flesh. A wide, soft cracker is not as likely to.
